Historic Cabarrus Association Launches New Website as Part of Major Rebranding Effort
The Historic Cabarrus Association (HCA) is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new website—an exciting part of a comprehensive rebranding campaign. This launch marks a significant step forward for the organization as we redefine our mission and enhance our connections with the community.
An Engaging and Educational Hub
With the debut of this modern digital platform, HCA aims to become the go-to online resource for local history in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, offering an engaging and educational hub for residents, researchers, educators, and visitors alike.
"The new Historic Cabarrus Association website isn't just a redesign—it's a reintroduction," said Justin Moore, HCA Board member and Creative Director and Principal of Sublmnl, the marketing and brand development agency overseeing the rebranding initiative. "Our goal is to create more than just a digital presence. We want to build an online community space that honors the past while inspiring people to explore, learn, and help preserve their local history. We want to invite them into the story we're telling and encourage a sense of ownership of their heritage."
A New Look, a Stronger Mission
The reimagined website is designed with user experience and accessibility in mind, featuring intuitive navigation, modern visuals, and organized content that highlights the rich historical landscape of Cabarrus County. Visitors can easily find detailed information about HCA's work, explore historical stories, and access resources that connect them with other local heritage organizations.
This digital transformation is part of HCA's larger mission to make history more accessible and collaborative. The website brings together resources from across Cabarrus County's many historical institutions—from museums to archives—to showcase the collective efforts that preserve the region's unique past.
"Our vision for this site is to celebrate not only what HCA does, but also the incredible work of all the historical organizations throughout Cabarrus County," said HCA Executive Director, Dr. Shanaee Bodrick. "We want this to be a hub for discovery, connection, and appreciation of our shared history."
A Central Resource for Local History Lovers
At the heart of this new digital initiative is HCA's commitment to education and community engagement. Through the website, visitors can:
- Read feature stories, view images, and watch videos that bring local history to life.
- Learn about upcoming programs, exhibits, and events.
- Find links to partner museums and heritage sites across the county.
- Explore ways to volunteer, donate, or get involved in preserving the area's history.
Whether you're a lifelong resident of Cabarrus County or a newcomer curious about the foundations of the area, the new Historic Cabarrus Association website invites you to take part in preserving and celebrating the stories that built this community.
Looking Ahead
This launch is just the beginning of HCA's renewed commitment to connecting the past with the present. As the organization continues through the rebranding process and refines its initiatives and mission, the new online platform will serve as the cornerstone for education, outreach, and collaboration across all corners of Cabarrus County. Continue checking in, as we will continue to add new content and build out more functionality as the website grows.
