Yes, we provide resources and support for individuals interested in researching their family history. Our Cabarrus Genealogy Society offers workshops and access to historical documents to aid genealogical research.

Yes, our Online Archives — a digital catalog showcasing Cabarrus County’s history is now live. The archive features historic photos, videos, and documents, offering locals, visitors, and researchers an engaging way to explore the people, places, and events that shaped our community.
This is an ongoing project, and we’ll continue adding new materials and further organizing the archives.

Yes! Currently, we welcome volunteers on an event-by-event basis to assist with tours, programs, and community gatherings. As our exhibitions and programming expand, more structured volunteer and internship opportunities will be available.

From I-85, take Exit 58 onto US-29 toward US-601, Downtown Concord/Concord Parkway N. Keep left on Church Street, turn right onto Buffalo Avenue NW, and turn left onto Union Street. The Historic Visitors Center is located near the intersection of Union and Barbrick Ave. SW. A free parking deck is located at the corner of Spring Street and Corbin Avenue, within easy walking distance of the Historic Courthouse.
