The HCA Preservation Awards
Each year, the Historic Cabarrus Association honors those who have made significant impacts in various fields related to historic preservation and local history in Cabarrus County, NC. We invite the community to participate by nominating deserving candidates for our prestigious awards, recognizing their efforts and commitment to fostering an appreciation for our shared heritage.
HCA Awards Nominations
Recognizing Preservation Excellence
We are now accepting nominations for our upcoming Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony. We invite the community to participate by submitting nominations in the following categories:
- Historian of the Year
- Residential Preservationist of the Year
- Commercial Preservationist of the Year – Construction
- Commercial Preservationist of the Year – Business
To nominate an individual or business, please get in touch with us with the subject line “HCA Award Nominee,” or you may mail your nomination to the Historic Cabarrus Association, P.O. Box 966, Concord, NC 28026.
When submitting a nomination, please include the following information:
- The nominator’s name and contact information
- The nominee’s name and contact information
- A description of how this individual or business has made a significant contribution toward historic preservation or fostered interest in local history. Please include details about their work, if applicable.
- An explanation of why you believe this individual should receive a Historic Cabarrus Association Award.
We greatly value the input of our community and look forward to recognizing the outstanding efforts of those dedicated to preserving Cabarrus County’s history and heritage.
