North Carolina Music Hall Of Fame

The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, a nonprofit organization and museum located in Kannapolis, North Carolina, was established to honor and preserve the state’s rich musical heritage. Incorporated on May 26, 1994, the Hall of Fame was created to recognize, promote, and commemorate musicians, composers, and artists with ties to the state who have made lasting contributions to the music industry.

The Hall has evolved into a statewide centerpiece for music history, preserving artifacts, photographs, and memorabilia from North Carolina artists across every genre—from gospel and bluegrass to rock, jazz, R&B, and country.

Each year, new artists are inducted based on specific eligibility requirements: musicians, producers, executives, and educators who were either born in North Carolina or have made it their home may be considered ten years after beginning their professional careers.
